Since Herbal Remedy’s inception in 2014, our goal of becoming the next hottest clothing line to represent the daily consumer of cannabis has evolved into a company that is here not only to bring you quality clothing, but to support a movement that is fighting to re-introduce a 100% natural and medicinal plant back into mainstream North America for legal use – both recreationally and more importantly, medically.

VIDEO PREMIERE: Omari Banks “Oh Africa”, Live at Anguilla Music Academy | Top Shelf Reggae

Anguillan artist Omari Banks is standing up for peace and justice in this world video premiere of his live “Oh Africa” performance at the Anguilla Music Acadamy. Born and raised in Anguilla, the video recorded at his hometown Music Academy is not only a tribute to African roots, but to Banks’ personal roots as well. Jumping onstage young beside his father, Bankie Banx, and since switching between professional sports to professional music, Omari has thus become accustomed to the limelight. And, what better way to use his debonair public presence than to spread awareness to the masses? Omari Banks plans to do just that with the resurfacing of “Oh Africa”, a track featured off his 2013 Move On album, yet proffering a message that is more relevant today than ever.

Polished as if off the album itself, this live version of the track comes across smooth, powerful and even a little playful.

Polished as if off the album itself, this live version of the track comes across smooth, powerful and even a little playful. Omari’s message is clear: the violence sparring between people of African descent around the world is heartbreaking –”we are all Africans, we must live as one”. With a personal introduction to the live video, Omari’s passion shines through as he performs, embedding emotions in between impressive guitar riffs and shreds. And, let’s be honest, Banks can play a wicked guitar! As he escalates through the chords in the track’s guitar solo, with fingers fluttering at the speed of light, it’s almost as if Banks is creating an instrumental cry for help. Something must be done with the madness going on in the world. With pan flute and kettle drum keys, a heavy walking bassline and Banks delivering melodic vocals despite a burdened timbre, this track truly emanates a call to action.

“Oh Africa” and Banks’ inaugural full-length album Move On are both available to stream and purchase on all digital outlets. For more information on Omari Banks, please visit www.omaribanks.com.
